Nancy
Pelosi was able to dodge a confrontation with dozens of protesters
waiting for her arrival in Hartford, CT Friday afternoon.
There
were three options for attendees at the fundraiser Friday afternoon
One
could pay $1,000 to attend the luncheon or pay $30,000 to sit at
Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosis table.
The
third option...join the patriots outside in protesting the heavy
handed and anti Constitutional politics of Speaker Pelosi.

Once
again, not Connecticut news but still another excellent video of a
constituent talking to her congressman.

This
is not Connecticut news however the spirit of this video demanded
that it be shared.
On
August 18th a young man in 2 minutes of face time with his representative
was able to perfectly capture and phrase the sentiments of the burgeoning
patriot movement.

On
August 6 Rep. Joe Courtney (CT-02) held the first of a series of
town hall style forums at the Woodstock Academy. Several members
from the CT Patriot Alliance as well as other faithful Patriots
turned out to ensure that our opposition to the present Healthcare
reform bill would be heard.
Everyone
from the CT Patriot Alliance that attended is a constituent of Rep.
Courtney. None of us were afforded an opportunity to address the
crowd or ask any questions of Rep. Courtney. The same can not be
said for some of the Union members who turned out for this event.
The
video at left is a clip of two speakers at the event. The first
is one of the non-constituent union members who attended. The second
speaker on the clip is "a wise Latino man" who shared
with us the story of his family escaping communism.

On
August 5 Rep. Chris Murphy (CT-05) held a public meet and greet
outside of Stop & Shop in Simsbury.
The
crowd which was approximately 85 percent opposed to the present
Healthcare reform bill has been called unruly by several liberal
bloggers. However the crowd was mostly respectful. There were a
few jeers directed at Rep. Murphy and the union members who were
apparently bused in. What do you expect when you try to legislate
away peoples freedom's?

Alliance
members making a difference at Enfield's 4th of July town celebration
on July 11th and 12th.
During the event, Alliance members spoke with hundreds of event
attendees, most of whom shared similar concerns.
We also passed out copies of the Constitution, as well as DVDs of
the John Birch Society'sOverview
of America.
Another
event recently attended by the Alliance was the 4th of July Tea
Party held at the capital building in Hartford. The keynote speaker
for the event was Peter
Schiff, the man who predicted the present economic crisis. CT
Patriot Alliance founder, Steve Steinberg, also addressed the crowd.
His remarks can be heard on this video.
In
the first Great Depression, the government tried, for
several years, between 1929 and 1933, to maintain a fiction
that the U.S. Dollar was still convertible and as "good
as gold," in spite of having irresponsibly printed
more dollars than they had gold to back them. Back in
the 1920s, just like during the last 22...
This
will seem like a strange way to open a piece of commentary,
but the gun owners who voted for Barack Obama believing
he respected Second Amendment rights remind me of the
bumbling Inspector Clouseau. Specifically, I think of
the scene from "The Return of the Pink Panther"
in which...
